Point Lobos Pine
This painting won honors in the 78th Annual Statewide Landscape exhibit at the Santa Cruz Art League, and at the Annual Exhibit '08 for the International Society of Acrylic Painters. This piece depicts a monterey pine at Point Lobos, a favorite coastal destination. These pines have lush long needles which can absorb water from the ever-present fog. This particular tree seemed to reach out to me to tickle me under the chin! This is #2 in the Tree Portrait Series.
